Art philosopher and curator Katja Rodenburg conducts research into the creative process and wrote a book about Ad Dekkers and the process of making. The way in which artist Ad Dekkers (1938-1974) found inspiration, conducted research and developed his work is therefore the central focal point of her work.

A group of selected contemporary artists follow a master class organized for a week in collaboration with Beeldenstorm/Daglicht in Eindhoven. They are inspired by the minimalist work of Ad Dekkers. For example, they visit works in the public space around Eindhoven University of Technology and in particular the reconstruction of the large tile relief at the De Ploeg monument in Bergeijk, opened this spring by Princess Beatrix.

The exhibition highlights a bit of the veil of Rodenburg’s research and shows the first reflections. As a visitor you will be taken along in the process of making, while also paying attention to the way in which the artist Ad Dekkers shapes his role in his time.

Works resulting from the master class will be selected, these works will be included in the exhibition after the master class.
